To be quite honest, photographing weddings was never really part of my plans as a photographer. I've always found myself far more comfortable out exploring the wilderness, or tackling the high intensity of a live music performance. Nevertheless, I have tried to branch out this year, and attempted to translate my skills to the art of wedding photography.
In March, I was invited to photograph the wedding of my old school friend Patrick and his fiancé Natasha. An early 9am start to photograph the bridal party in their preparations was followed by greeting the groom and best man at the venue. The ceremony and reception took place in in a beautiful converted barn in Aylesbury, surrounded by stunning landscapes and farm land.
