UCA Students’ Union
I am currently employed by the University for the Creative Arts Students’ Union as their Marketing and Brand Manager. This role encompasses various responsibilities relating to the promotion of Union events, campaigns, projects, and the visibility of the Union as a whole. Other than Graphic Design, my responsibilities include planning and implementing communications and social media strategy and guidelines for the organisation, overseeing website development, including keeping it updated with new pages and content, planning, filming and editing video content, setting and meeting ambitious targets for social media and website engagement and managing a design assistant.
The design aspect of the role is for me the most exciting and interesting part. With an audience of over 6000 students that will have changed completely every 3 years, the work is always varied, with a need to keep an eye on trends and styles to ensure maximum engagement with the audience. Our audience is spread over 4 campuses in Surrey and Kent, and so we offer a dynamic range of events to cater for every need.
Below are some examples of my work at UCA Students’ Union.
One of the areas I have looked at expanding in my role has been the use of video promotions. Below are some examples of videos produces to promote the Union and other Union projects and events.
